WE HAVE HOPE

Job 19:21-27

For I know that my Redeemer lives,

Job 19:25ª

This phrase would appear to have been said by some Christian of the first centuries, and we do not doubt that they repeated it constantly.

In difficult times, when all is in shadows, when not a single light appears in our sky, faith reminds us in whom we believe.

Our days are indeed hard, the tasks that confront us lead us at times to despair. Only then like a breath the certainty comes to us that God is there as always, our Redeemer, our defender in large and small battles, our hope in the struggle as humans and as Christians. We always live in this certainty: we are not alone. Our Redeemer lives and lives forever.

 

Prayer: Father, thank you that you are our hope, that every day we can trust and continue ahead in the security that you give us. Amen.

TENEMOS ESPERANZA

Job 19:21-27

Yo sé que mi Redentor vive.

Job 29:25ª

Esta frase pareciera dicha por algún cristiano de los primeros siglos, y no dudamos que la repitieran constantemente.

En los momentos duros, cuando todo parece oscuro, cuando ni una luz se asoma en nuestro cielo, la fe nos hace recordar en quién creemos.

Nuestros días son bien duros, los retos a los que nos enfrentamos llegan a veces a desesperarnos; y sólo entonces nos llega como un soplo la certeza de que ahí está como siempre Dios, nuestro Redentor, nuestro defensor en las grandes y pequeñas batallas, nuestra esperanza en la lucha, como seres humanos y como cristianos. Vivamos siempre con esta certeza: no estamos solos. Nuestro Redentor vive y vive para siempre.

Oración: Gracias Padre, porque tú eres nuestra esperanza, porque cada día podemos confiar y seguir adelante, con la seguridad que tú nos das. Amén.
