Always growing

Matthew 13: 31-32

Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants…

Matthew 13: 32 (NIV)

One grows when there is no emptiness of hope, no weakening of will, no loss of faith. One grows by assimilating what is left behind, by building what is in front and projecting what the future may be. One grows when one overcomes, values oneself, and knows how to bear fruits.  One grows when a trail is blazed, leaving footprints, assimilating experiences. . . . And when roots are sown!

One grows when one is strong in character, sustained by training, sensitive by temperament…

And human by birth!

One grows when winter is faced, even when the leaves are dropped.

One picks flowers even when they have thorns and marks a path even when the dust rises. One grows by helping those around us, knowing ourselves and giving life more than we receive. One grows when it is planted so as not to retreat. . . .  When one defends oneself like an eagle so as not to stop flying. . . . When we set ourselves firmly as an anchor and shines like a star.

 

Let us pray: Lord, may I always have the will to grow, but above all to grow in faith to sustain me and strengthen myself and to be a shadow that shelters and gives rest to others. Amen.

Crece en todo momento

Mateo 13: 31-32

Aunque es la más pequeña de todas las semillas, cuando crece es la más grande de todas las hortalizas.

Mateo 13: 32

Uno crece cuando no hay vacío de esperanza, ni debilitamiento de voluntad, ni pérdida de fe. Uno crece asimilando lo que deja detrás, construyendo lo que tiene delante y proyectando lo que puede ser el porvenir. Crece cuando supera, se valora, y sabe dar frutos. Uno crece cuando abre camino dejando huellas, asimila experiencias... ¡Y siembra raíces!

Uno crece cuando se es fuerte por carácter, sostenido por formación, sensible por temperamento...

¡Y humano por nacimiento!

Uno crece cuando enfrenta el invierno, aunque pierda las hojas.

Recoge flores aunque tengan espinas y marca camino aunque se levante el polvo. Uno crece ayudando a sus semejantes, conociéndose a sí mismo y dándole a la vida más de lo que recibe.

Uno crece cuando se planta para no retroceder... Cuando se defiende como águila para no dejar de volar... Cuando se clava como ancla y se ilumina como estrella.

 

Oremos: Señor, que siempre tenga la voluntad de crecer, pero sobre todo crecer en fe para sostenerme y fortalecerme y ser sombra que cobije y de descanso a otros. Amén.

 God has called you

Romans 8: 28-30.

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son

Romans 8: 29 (NIV)

God has a purpose for your life. He is always working and fulfilling His purpose in you. If you love God, if you accept the Kingdom proposal, He will pour His grace into your life.

God’s Spirit will cover you and will give you strength to face any situation. He will always be with you.

God called you. He has invited you to be a part of his work, of his people. He has filled you with gifts to be used in the service of others.

If you believe in Christ, then rejoice in the fact that God has always known you. God’s love is steadfast. He will guide you and protect you to the end.

This is what it’s all about, to be in a perfect and harmonious relationship with God.

Don’t miss the opportunity to reaffirm your faith in God and to be faithful to the fulfillment of his precepts.

 

Prayer: Our Father, here I am, ready to follow your Word. Give me your wisdom to be just and fill me with your grace to reach the fullness of your salvation. Amen.

Dios te ha llamado

Romanos 8: 28-30

Dios conoció a los suyos de antemano y los eligió paraque llegaran a ser como su Hijo.

Romanos 8: 29

Dios tiene un propósito para tu vida. En todo momento está obrando y cumpliendo su propósito enti. Si amas a Dios, si aceptas la propuesta de Reino, Él derramará su gracia en tu vida.

El Espíritu de Dios te cubrirá y te dará la fortaleza para que puedas enfrentar cualquier situación. El estará siempre contigo.

Dios te llamó. Te ha invitado hacer parte de su obra, de su pueblo. Te ha llenado de dones para ponerlos al servicio de los demás.

Si crees en Cristo, pues alégrate por el hecho de que Dios siempre te ha conocido. El amor de Dios eseterno. Él te guiará y te protegerá hasta el fin.

De esto se trata, de estar en una perfecta y armoniosa relación con Dios.

No pierdas la oportunidad de reafirmar tu fe en Dios y ser fiel al cumplimiento de sus preceptos.

 

Oración: Padre nuestro, heme aquí, dispuesto a seguir tu Palabra. Dame de tu sabiduría para ser justo y lléname de tu gracia para alcanzar la plenitud de tu Salvación. Amén.

Waiting for the harvest

Matthew 13: 24-30

Let both grow together until the harvest.

Matthew 13: 30 (NIV)

Wheat and weeds cannot easily be separated when they are growing; one must wait until just the right moment to do so. This parable shows us how difficult it is to distinguish between those who are in the Kingdom and those who are not, between those who try to sabotage the good works, the good spirit, letting their bad intentions be known in the middle of what has been well planted and cultivated.

On the other hand, we are often too quick to classify people as good or bad without knowing all the facts. Therefore, we must wait for the right time, God’s time. 

We cannot rush to judgment. If it had been for the reapers, they would have tried to pull up the weeds, pulling up the wheat as well. We must wait for the blind, the right moment to pull up and separate, in the words of the Kingdom: it is not for us to decide who will and who will not.

If it is our turn to be wheat, even with the weeds that may be surrounding our lives, we should not let ourselves be poisoned.

 

Let us pray: Lord, I want to be worthy of your harvest, to grow in faith, that nothing may disturb or separate me from my relationship with you. Amen.

Esperar la cosecha

Mateo 13: 24-30

Dejen que ambas crezcan juntas hasta la cosecha.

Mateo 13: 30

El trigo y la maleza no se pueden separar fácilmente cuando están creciendo; hay que esperar el momento justo para hacerlo. Esta parábola nos enseña lo difícilque es distinguir entre los que están en el Reino y los que no, entre los que intentan sabotear las buenas obras, el buen espíritu, dejando saber sus malas intenciones en medio de lo que bien se ha sembrado y cultivado.

Por otro lado, nos damos demasiada prisa a clasificara las personas y ponerles la etiqueta de buena o mala sin conocer todos los hechos. Por eso, hay que esperar al tiempo propicio, el tiempo de Dios.

No podemos precipitarnos en nuestros juicios. Si hubiera sido por los segadores, habrían tratado de arrancar la maleza arrancando también el trigo. Hayque esperar a la ciega, al momento idóneo para arrancar y separar; en palabras del Reino: no nos tocaa nosotros decidir quién sí y quién no.

Sí nos toca ser trigo, que aun con las malezas que puedan estar rodeando nuestras vidas no nos dejemos envenenar.

 

Oremos: Señor, quiero ser digno de tu cosecha, crecer en fe, que nada perturbe o me aparte de mi relación contigo. Amén.
