LET US HAVE THINGS CLEAR

Luke 3, 15- 16

The people were waiting expectantly and were all wondering in their hearts if John might possibly be the Messiah.

Luke 3:15 (NIV)

How different our lives can be when we are sure of who we are, when we recognize our limits and our gifts, when we are clear about our mission as daughters and sons of God.

These certainties free us from the pressure that we often suffer, from the expectations that those around us have of us; and at the same time, they rise as beacons that guide our projects and dreams.

John was clear about things. He was not the Messiah, and even though he could confuse the people and present himself as such, he did not do so. With honesty and humility, he announced the arrival and ministry of Jesus Christ. That was his main mission.

On this day, let us rethink who we are, what our mission is so that, like John, we can open the way to the Christ who is already in the midst of this world, who is already here to baptize us and ignite our lives with the strength of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer: Lord, give us the necessary wisdom, help us so that we can pave the way and open our lives to Jesus, to the God among us. Amen.

TENGAMOS CLARAS LAS COSAS

Lucas 3, 15- 16

Como el pueblo estaba en expectativa, preguntándose todos en sus corazones si acaso Juan sería el Cristo,

Lucas 3:15

Que distinta pueden ser nuestra vida cuando tenemos seguridad de quienes somos, cuando reconocemos nuestros límites y nuestros dones, cuando tenemos claridad de nuestra misión como hijas e hijos de Dios.

Estas certezas nos liberan de la presión que muchas veces sufrimos por las expectativas que sobre nuestras personas tienen quienes están a nuestro alrededor; y al mismo tiempo se levantan como faros que orientan nuestros proyectos y sueños.

Juan tenía clara las cosas, no era el mesías, y aun cuando podría confundir al pueblo y presentarse como tal, no lo hizo. Con honestidad y humildad anunció la llegada y ministerio de Jesucristo, esa era su misión principal.

En este día repensemos sobre quiénes somos, sobre cuál es nuestra misión para que como Juan  podamos abrirle camino al Cristo que ya está en medio de este mundo, que ya está aquí para bautizarnos y encender nuestras vidas con la fuerza del Espíritu Santo.

Oración: Señor danos la sabiduría necesaria, ayúdanos para que podamos allanar el camino y abrir nuestras vidas a Jesús, al Dios entre nosotros. Amén
