CONVERSE WITH GOD

Mark 1, 29-39

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.

The most genuine expression of our Christian faith is manifested in service as a practice of life. When we serve with our heart and mercy, it is impossible not to feel a mixture of satisfaction and gratitude for what we do, but it is undeniable that we can also feel our strength failing, or a deep need to talk to God so that he can confirm whether what we do is really enough, in the face of the call he makes to us.

It is possible that Jesus, from his human essence, also felt these things during his ministry, especially after such intense days as this one presented to us in the passage where he was healing so many sick people and expelling demons.

Like Jesus, we can stop, look for a secluded place to pray, to talk to God and regain the security, encouragement and necessary strength that we find when we pray and that we receive through the Holy Spirit that reaffirms our mission as sons and daughters of God and encourages us to continue serving.

Prayer: Thank you Father for the prayers heard and answered. Amen.

CONVERSA CON DIOS

Marcos 1, 29-39

“…cuando todavía estaba oscuro, salió, y se fue a un lugar solitario, y allí oraba”

Marcos 1:35

La expresión más genuina de nuestra fe cristiana se manifiesta en el servicio como práctica de vida. Cuando se sirve de corazón y con misericordia es imposible no sentir una mezcla de satisfacción y gratitud por lo que se hace, pero es innegable que también podemos sentir como nuestras fuerzas desfallecen, o una necesidad profunda de conversar con Dios para que nos confirme si realmente lo que hacemos es suficiente, frente al llamado que nos hace.

Es posible que Jesús desde su esencia humana, también haya sentido estas cosas, durante su ministerio, especialmente después de jornadas tan intensas como ésta que nos presenta el pasaje donde estuvo sanando a tantas personas enfermas y expulsando demonios.

Como Jesús podemos detenernos, buscar un lugar apartado para orar, para conversar con Dios y recobrar la seguridad, el aliento y las fuerzas necesarias que encontramos cuando oramos y que recibimos a través del Espíritu Santo que reafirma nuestra misión como hijos e hijas de Dios y nos impulsa a continuar sirviendo.

Oración: Gracias Padre por las oraciones escuchadas y contestadas. Amén.
