OBEDIENCE

John 8: 21-30

And the one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what is pleasing to him.”

John 8: 29 (NRSV)

In our Sunday liturgies, we share a time for confession of sin, an opportunity to open our hearts to God in prayer, acknowledging our mistakes. And at the same time, we acknowledge the love and mercy of our Lord for our lives. A love that is always unconditional and faithful.

Even in the most difficult moments, Jesus was always obedient to the Father; he accepted His will as the divine plan and project of salvation for humanity.

Jesus teaches us to believe, and how difficult it is for us to understand that God is our best choice for a full life! Because following God implies obedience to His precepts, His teachings, and our daily practice of everything that surrounds us.

Let us be obedient to the Word of God. More than a sacrifice for us, it is a demonstration of loyalty and fidelity to the One who did not spare anything for God's loving plan for all humanity.

Prayer: Our Father, remove everything that prevents us from being obedient and fulfilling your Word. May we believe in You, in your redemption and forgiveness for our lives. Amén.

LA OBEDIENCIA

El que me envió está conmigo; no me ha dejado solo, porque siempre hago lo que le agrada.

En nuestras liturgias dominicales compartimos un tiempo para la confesión de pecado, oportunidad para abrir nuestros corazones a Dios en oración, reconociendo nuestros errores. Y al mismo tiempo el amor y misericordia de nuestro Señor para nuestras vidas. Un amor siempre incondicional y fiel.

Aún en los momentos más difíciles Jesús fue siempre obediente al Padre, asumió su voluntad como plan divino y proyecto de salvación para la humanidad.

Jesús nos enseña a creer, ¡y cuanto nos cuesta entender que Dios es nuestra mejor elección de vida plena! Porque seguir a Dios implica obediencia en sus preceptos, en sus enseñanzas y en la práctica cotidiana con todo lo que nos rodea.

Seamos obedientes a la Palabra de Dios. Más que sacrificio para nosotros es una muestra de lealtad y fidelidad a quien no escatimó darlo todo por el proyecto amoroso de Dios para toda la humanidad

Oración: Padre nuestro, aparta todo aquello que no impide ser obedientes y cumplir con tu Palabra. Que creamos en Ti, en tu redención y perdón para nuestras vidas. Amén.
