The joy of sharing

Luke 24: 13-35

After he took his seat at the table with them, he took the bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Their eyes were opened and they recognized him, but he disappeared from their sight.

Recently our  mornings have become agitated, especially when we have the responsibility to buy bread, milk, rice, and medicines for a household.  We set out walking and most of the time we forget to share a greeting, a smile or even to thank God for one more day.

It is correct that we have a lack of food on our tables, a lack of family members, a lack of inspiration to bring joy to our mornings, but the central theme of our waking up is to share good news.  In the midst of our crises or difficult situations there is an opportunity to celebrate, a proposal to be grateful to the Lord for providing and bringing to the table those foods that we can buy.  Let us take advantage of this day to lighten the faces of those who are waiting for us to bring joy to their life.

Prayer: I thank you God for each morning that I can wake up and for the power to share with others the little that I have.  Amen.

La alegría de compartir

Lucas 24: 13-35

…cuando ya estaban sentados a la mesa, tomó en sus manos el pan, y habiendo dado gracias a Dios, lo partió y se lo dio. En ese momento se les abrieron los ojos y reconocieron a Jesús; pero él desapareció…

Últimamente  nuestras mañanas se vuelven agitadas, especialmente cuando tenemos la responsabilidad de comprar el pan, la leche, el arroz, las medicinas. Salimos a caminar y la mayoría de las veces, olvidamos compartir un saludo, una sonrisa, e incluso agradecer a Dios por un día más.

Es cierto que tenemos falta de alimentos en nuestras mesas, falta de miembros en nuestras familias, falta de inspiración para alegrar nuestras mañanas, pero el tema central de nuestro despertar es  compartir la buena noticia. En medio de nuestras crisis o situaciones difíciles, existe una oportunidad para celebrar, una propuesta de agradecer al Señor por proveer y traer a la mesa aquellos alimentos que podemos compartir. Aprovechemos este día para iluminar los rostros de quienes aún esperan por nosotros para alegrar su vida.

Oración: Gracias te doy Dios por cada mañana que puedo despertar y por poder compartir con los demás lo poco que tengo. Amén
