In His Hands

Romans 8:28-30

We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28 (NRSV)

This “We know” is not an assumption, but rather a certainty based in God’s faithfulness and sovereignty. In the face of difficulties, God is neither absent nor indifferent; God works in everything for our well being because we are called according to God’s eternal purpose.

This passage is an anchor for our trust: it makes no difference what we confront, God is working for our good and for God’s glory. Our security does not depend on our strength or circumstances, but rather on the immutable and sovereign love of God who sustains and guides us. We can rest in the fact that God fulfills his purpose in us, shaping us in the image of Christ and that nothing will be able to separate us from God’s love.

Prayer: Beloved God, thank you that in your sovereignty and eternal love you call us and justify us. Help us to trust your purpose completely, especially when we confront great difficulties. Shape our hearts to be like Christ and strengthen our hope. Thank you for your faithfulness. May your peace keep our hearts and minds on Jesus. Amen.

En sus manos.

Romanos 8.28-30

Y sabemos que a los que aman a Dios, todas las cosas les ayudan a bien, esto es, a los que conforme a su propósito son llamados.

Romanos 8.28

Este "sabemos" no es una suposición, sino una certeza basada en la fidelidad y soberanía de Dios. En medio de las dificultades, Dios no está ausente ni indiferente; Él obra en todo para nuestro bien, porque somos llamados según su propósito eterno.

Este pasaje es un ancla para nuestra confianza: no importa lo que enfrentemos, Dios está obrando para nuestro bien y para su gloria. Nuestra seguridad no depende de nuestras fuerzas o circunstancias, sino del amor inmutable y soberano de Dios que nos sostiene y guía. Podemos descansar en que Él cumple su propósito en nosotros, moldeándonos a la imagen de Cristo, y que nada podrá separarnos de su amor.

Oración: Amado Dios, gracias porque en tu soberanía y amor eterno nos llamas y justificas. Ayúdanos a confiar plenamente en tu propósito, especialmente cuando enfrentamos grandes dificultades. Moldea nuestro corazón para ser semejantes a Cristo y fortalece nuestra esperanza, gracias por tu fidelidad. Que tu paz guarde nuestro corazón y mente en Jesús. Amén.
