“Hands that Shelter”

Luke 7:31-35

But wisdom is proved to be right by all her descendants.

The biblical text shows us how we so often judge people only by that which we can see, as at times we criticize others for not meeting the standards or roles that society imposes or that we want to impose on them. We have to know that not all people will always recognize us for who we really are; many will judge our actions without knowing what is behind them, and others will call us crazy for believing in a God who no one has seen. We are the ones who should be clear that we do not have to prove anything. We do not have to show anything or explain what we are doing. Like God, those who love us and know us already know who we really are, and they will never let us go. These people will be our safe place and these are the hands that will comfort us when we most need it.

Prayer: Lord, today we want to thank you for those people that you place in our lives and above all for your presence that always accompanies us and protects us. Amen.

“Manos que cobijan”.

Lucas 7, 31-35

Pero a la sabiduría la reivindican sus hijos.

Lucas 7.35

El texto bíblico nos muestra cómo las personas juzgamos muchas veces solo por aquello que vemos. Como a veces criticamos a otros por no cumplir con los estándares o roles que la sociedad impone o que nosotros les queremos imponer. Tenemos que saber que no todas las personas siempre nos reconocerán por quienes somos en verdad, muchos juzgarán nuestras acciones sin saber lo que hay detrás de ellas, otros nos llamaran locos por creer en un Dios que nunca nadie ha visto. Somos nosotras y nosotros quienes debemos tener claro que no tenemos que probar nada. No tenemos que demostrar nada ni explicar con palabras nuestro hacer. Aquellos que, como Dios, nos quieren y nos conocen saben cómo somos en realidad, y ellos nunca nos soltarán. Esas personas serán nuestro lugar seguro y aquellas manos que nos reconforten cuándo más lo necesitemos.

Oración: Señor, hoy queremos agradecer por aquellas personas que tu colocas en nuestras vidas y sobre todo por tu presencia que siempre nos acompaña y nos protege. Amén.
