MAY WE BE BRANCHES THAT GIVE FRUIT

John 15: 1-8

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you.

John 15: 7 (CEB)

In this passage, Jesus presents himself as “the true vine” and shows us the importance of remaining in Him in order to bear fruit. This metaphor invites us to reflect on our connection with Christ.  As a branch can not bear fruit by itself, so we can not live a full and meaningful life without being rooted in his love and truth.  Remaining in Him, we find the strength and the wisdom necessary to face life’s challenges.

To remain on the vine implies a process of pruning.  This can be painful, but it is essential for our spiritual growth.  The tests and difficulties that we face can be God’s tools which mold and shape us more into God’s image.  Accepting this process, we can trust that each difficult situation has a divine purpose that will carry us to a greater maturity in our faith.

May we seek to remain on the true vine every day, trusting that, by doing so, our lives will bear abundant fruit that will glorify God. 

Prayer: Thank you, God, for letting us be a small branch on your True Vine:  Jesus Christ.  Thank you that with your pruning we are renewed, allowing us to bear fruits of LOVE for your glory.

SEAMOS RAMAS QUE DAN FRUTOS

Juan 15: 1-8

Si permanecen en mí y mis palabras permanecen en ustedes, pidan lo que quieran, y se les concederá

Juan 15: 7

En este pasaje, Jesús se presenta como "la vid verdadera", y nos enseña la importancia de permanecer en Él para dar fruto. Esta metáfora nos invita a reflexionar sobre nuestra conexión con Cristo. Así como una rama no puede dar fruto por sí sola, nosotros tampoco podemos vivir una vida plena y significativa sin estar arraigados en su amor y verdad. Al permanecer en Él, encontramos la fuerza y la sabiduría necesarias para enfrentar los desafíos de la vida.

Permanecer en la vid también implica un proceso de poda. Esto puede ser doloroso, pero es esencial para nuestro crecimiento espiritual. Las pruebas y dificultades que enfrentamos pueden ser herramientas de Dios para moldearnos y acercarnos más a Su imagen. Al aceptar este proceso, podemos confiar en que cada situación difícil tiene un propósito divino que nos llevará a una mayor madurez en nuestra fe.

Que cada día busquemos permanecer en la vid verdadera, confiando en que, al hacerlo, nuestras vidas darán frutos abundantes que glorificarán a Dios.

Oración: Gracias Dios, por permitirnos ser una pequeña rama de Tu Vid Verdadera: Jesucristo; gracias  por tus podas que nos renuevan; permitiéndonos dar frutos de AMOR para tu gloria. Amén.
