The Promise of Jesus

John 6: 35-40

that all who see the Son and believe in him may have eternal life; and I will raise them up on the last day.

John 6:40b (NRSV)

Faith in Jesus is trust and surrender. We are assured that whoever believes in Jesus will be raised on the last day. This promise gives us hope in the midst of the difficulties of life. This text invites us to believe racidally in Christ, to strengthen our faith and to trust in his response to our deepest needs.

Amidst the daily hardships, the news of this promise gives us new strength to continue. Let us trust in Jesus, let us believe in the resurrection of life, in what is resurrected every dawn. Let us bear witness to the life that endures, to the love of loved ones who are no longer physically present but who accompany us, to the ways in which God presents himself in our sorrows and joys.

The greatest way to follow is believing in Jesus’ promises. All the promises of the Lord Jesus are a powerful support for my faith…

Let us pray: God of life rises in the midst of our lives. Use us to bear your message to those who need you so that they can believe in you. Bless us. Amen.

La promesa de Jesús

Juan 6: 35-40

“… que todo aquel que ve al Hijo, y cree en él, tenga vida eterna; y yo lo resucitaré en el día postrero”

Juan 6:40

La fe en Jesús es confianza y entrega. Se nos asegura que quienes creemos en Jesús resucitaremos en el último día.  Esta promesa nos esperanza en medio de las dificultades de la vida. Este texto nos invita a creer radicalmente en Cristo, a fortalecer nuestra fe y a confiar en su respuesta a nuestras necesidades más profundas.

En medio de los sinsabores cotidianos de los días, la noticia de esta promesa nos da nuevas fuerzas para continuar. Confiemos en Jesús, creamos en la resurrección de la vida, en lo que resucita cada amanecer. Demos testimonio de la vida que perdura, del amor de seres queridos que no están físicamente, más nos acompañan, de las maneras que Dios se presenta en nuestras penas y alegrías.

El mejor modo de seguir es creyendo en las promesas de Jesús. Todas las promesas del Señor Jesús, son apoyo poderoso de mi fe…

Oremos: Dios de la vida resucita en medio de nuestras vidas.  Úsanos para llevar tu mensaje a quienes te necesitan para que puedan creer en ti. Bendícenos.  Amén.
