WORDS OF ETERNAL LIFE

John 6: 60-69

Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

John 6:68 (NIV)

When I have a problem I immediately turn to you, Lord. I seek refuge in prayer, in speaking to you, in telling you what is going through my mind and heart, even though I know you already know me. I try to listen to your voice. I read your divine word, and there I find you: speaking to me as the friend who hugged me when I was breathless; in the neighbor who shared her 3:00 pm coffee; in the sharing of the little food we have; in a song heard in the distance that reminds me of a happy time; in the smile of a stranger passing by; in a beautiful new dawn.

Where will I go? If in you I find the light in my days, the peace to live, the breath of life.

And you, what do you believe about Jesus? What do you find in him? Like Simon, we too must respond to Jesus’ call and trust.

Prayer: Loving God, fill me with love, with your peace, with your joy from yesterday, today, and forever. May your tenderness continue to flood my life. Amen.

PALABRAS DE VIDA ETERNA

Juan 6: 60-69

Simón Pedro le respondió: “Señor, ¿a quién iremos? Tú tienes palabras de vida eterna

Juan 6:68

Cuando tengo algún problema, enseguida recurro a ti, Señor. Busco refugio en la oración, en hablarte, en contarte qué pasa por mi mente y corazón, aunque sé que ya me conoces. Trato de escuchar tu voz, leo tu palabra divina, y allí te encuentro: hablándome en el amigo que me abrazó cuando ya no me quedaba aliento, en la vecina que compartió su café de las 3:00 pm, en el compartir de los pocos alimentos que tenemos, en una canción que se escucha a lo lejos y que me recuerda una época feliz, en la sonrisa de un extraño que andaba de paso, en un nuevo amanecer hermoso.

¿A dónde iré? Si en ti encuentro la luz en mis días, la paz para vivir, el aliento de vida.

 Y tú, ¿qué crees de Jesús, qué encuentras en él?   Así como Simón, también debemos responder al llamado de Jesús y confiar.

Oración: Amado Dios, lléname de amor, de tu paz, de tu gozo desde ayer, hoy y para siempre. Que tu ternura continúe inundando mi vida. Amén.
