Day of Work

God’s Words

John 3 :  31 - 36

He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for he gives the Spirit without measure.

 (NRSV)John 3 :34

These days we hear many words of complaint, of pain, of disenchantment, of hunger and other burdens with tears. We also hear shouts of threat and other rude words, insults to those they believe deserve it or to anyone who crosses their path. All of this attacks us in different ways and sometimes makes us lose the meaning of our life of faith.

But for our good there is God’s Spirit. He raises other voices above all with truth and rightness to tell us which is our path. How we will use our words and our lives in the midst of this chaos in which so many people move. They need to hear God’s true message of hope and of our hands which help to revive their tired spirits and their withered bodies. Let’s seek those to whom God gives the words from above, words of hope and faith in the present and the future. God gives us his spirit without measure. God is faithful.

Prayer:  Spirit of God, help us to live with the certainty that you will always be guiding your church. Amen.

Palabras de Dios

Ahora escuchamos muchas palabras de queja, de dolor, de desencanto, de hambre y algunas cargadas de lágrimas. También escuchamos gritos de amenazas y algunas palabras groseras, insultos a quien creen se lo merecen o a quién se cruza con ellos y con ellas. todo esto nos agrede de distintas maneras y a veces nos hace perder el sentido de nuestra vida de fe.

Pero para nuestro bien ahí está el Espíritu de Dios . Él  levanta otras voces por encima de todos con verdades y aciertos para decirnos cuál es nuestro camino,  Cómo usaremos nuestras palabras y nuestras vidas en medio de este caos en que se mueven tantas personas.  Ellos necesitan escuchar el verdadero mensaje de Dios mensaje de esperanza y de manos, las nuestras,  que les ayuda a revivir sus almas cansadas y sus cuerpos marchitos.  Busquemos a esos a los que Dios les da palabras de arriba, palabras de esperanza y de confianza en el presente y en el futuro. Dios nos da su Espíritu sin medida, Él es fiel.

Oración:  Espíritu de Dios,  ayúdanos a vivir con la certeza de que siempre estarás guiando a tu iglesia.  Amén.
