It Is Necessary to Believe in Jesus

John 6: 22-29

Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”

John 6: 29 (NRSV)

The multitude searched for Jesus for his teachings and for the miracle that provided them with food. Jesus speaks of the bread that endures for eternal life, and the multitude asks what they must do to do the works of God; Jesus replies believe in the one he has sent. If we really believe that Christ is the bread of life, we should show that faith in concrete actions toward those around us and within our own lives. Faith in Jesus Christ sustains, saves, transforms, and allows us to go through this difficult time commited to the Kingdom by serving the littlest ones and the needy.

May crises and challenges bring us closer to God, enrich our faith, fill our hearts with peace, joy, faith and hope. Let us believe that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

Let us Pray: God, we believe in you and in the one you have sent, Jesus.  We are certain that you accompany and bless our lives. We ask you for both material and spiritual food. May we be able to share our faith with strength and hope. Amen.

Es necesario creer en Jesús

Juan 6: 22-29

Jesús les contestó: -La única obra que Dios quiere es que crean en aquel que él ha enviado

Juan 6: 29

La multitud busca a Jesús por sus enseñanzas y por el milagro que les proporciona el alimento.  Jesús habla sobre el pan que perdura para la vida eterna y la multitud pregunta qué deben hacer para realizar las obras de Dios, Jesús responde, creer en aquel que él ha enviado. Si realmente creemos que Cristo es el pan de vida, debemos manifestar esa fe en acciones concretas hacia los demás y hacia nuestras propias vidas. La fe en Jesucristo sostiene, salva, transforma y nos permite andar por este tiempo difícil, comprometidos por el Reino sirviendo a los más pequeños y necesitadas.

Que las crisis y desafíos nos acerquen a Dios, enriquezcan nuestra fe, llene nuestros corazones de paz, alegría, confianza y esperanza. Creamos en Jesús que es el camino, la verdad y la vida.

Oremos: En ti creemos Dios, y en quien nos has enviado, Jesús. Tenemos certeza que acompañas y bendices nuestras vidas. Te pedimos por el alimento material y el espiritual. Que podamos compartir nuestra fe con valor y esperanza. Amén.
