THE BLESSING OF FEELING HAPPY

Matthew 5: 1-12

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:3 (NIV)

The Beatitudes help us understand what it means to follow Jesus and call ourselves his followers. Feeling blessed in these difficult times, and heirs of His Kingdom gives us the certainty that God continues to look favorably on our human condition.

Jesus invites us to be happy, to be partakers of the Kingdom, keeping in mind the importance of humility in our spiritual life. It is not about living up to the appearances we want to present, but about the joy of knowing ourselves worthy of God’s love with the fullness that is given to us. Blessed are those who humbly live their faith, devotion, and constant communion with God. Those who maintain a pure heart and act under the compassionate gaze of the One who taught us to love others. Blessed are we when our spirit lives and acts from mercy and without expecting anything in return. That is where our salvation lies.

Prayer: Lord, may we always look to you with humility and find the true spirit of love and compassion. May we seek you at all times and conform to your will. Amen..

LA BENDICIÓN DE SENTIRNOS DICHOSOS

Mateo 5: 1-12

Bienaventurados los que tienen espíritu de pobres, porque de ellos es el Reino de los Cielos.

Mateo 5:3

Las bienaventuranzas nos ayudan a comprender lo que significa seguir a Jesús y llamarnos seguidores de Él. Sentirnos bendecidos en estos tiempos difíciles y herederos de su Reino nos da la certeza que Dios sigue mirando con buenos ojos nuestra condición humana.

Jesús nos invita a ser felices, a ser partícipes del Reino, teniendo en cuenta la importancia de la humildad en nuestra vida espiritual. No es cumplir con las apariencias que queremos mostrar, sino con la dicha de sabernos merecedores del amor de Dios con la plenitud que se nos es dada.  Dichosos quienes viven humildemente la fe, la devoción y la comunión constante con Dios. Quienes mantienen un corazón puro y actúan bajo la mirada compasiva de quien nos enseñó el amor hacia los demás. Bienaventurados somos cuando nuestro espíritu vive y actúa desde la misericordia y sin esperar nada a cambio, es ahí donde está nuestra salvación.

Oración: Señor, que siempre podamos mirar hacia ti con humildad y encontrar el verdadero espíritu de amor y compasión. Que te podamos buscar en todo momento y que nos conformemos a tu voluntad. Amén.
