COMMUNITY PRAYER

Acts 1:12-14

They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.(NIV)

Prayer is an effective tool for communicating with God. In it, there is complicity and the certainty of feeling that God is listening to us. How wonderful it is to share our resilience! And even more so if we do it in community.

United in the name of Jesus, let us resolve to cling to hope through prayer. May our spirit remain steadfast despite adversity. May we, like Mary and Jesus’ brothers, hold the hands of those who accompany us and pray in silence, with devotion, sharing everything that troubles us and considering the needs of our neighbors.

Let us pray to God continually. Let us open our hearts to that Jesus who prayed–and prays–with his brothers, with women, with mothers, teaching them that faith is lived in community and that prayer in fellowship is living under his grace. It is the meaning and coherence of his unconditional love, mercy, forgiveness, and joy.

Prayer: God of life, thank you for your presence among us, for teaching us that returning to you in community is the best way to love, serve, and do good for our fellow human beings. Thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to live our faith as a family. Amen.

LA ORACION EN COMUNIDAD

Hechos 1:12-14

Todos ellos se reunían siempre para orar con algunas mujeres, con María, la madre de Jesús, y con sus hermanos.

Hechos 1: 14

La oración es la herramienta eficaz para comunicarnos con Dios; en ella, hay complicidad y certeza de sentir que Dios nos escucha. ¡Qué maravilla intercambiar sobre nuestras resiliencias! Y más aún si lo hacemos en comunidad.

Unidos en el nombre de Jesús propongámonos aferrarnos a la esperanza por medio de la oración. Que nuestro espíritu permanezca firme a pesar de las adversidades. Que, como María y los hermanos de Jesús, podamos sostener las manos de quienes nos acompañan y oremos en silencio, con devoción, compartiendo todo lo que nos perturba y teniendo en cuenta las necesidades de nuestro prójimo.

Roguemos a Dios continuamente. Abramos nuestros corazones a ese Jesús que oró -y ora- con sus hermanos, con las mujeres, con las madres, enseñándoles que la fe se vive comunitariamente y que la oración en hermandad es vivir bajo su gracia; es sentido y coherencia a su amor incondicional, misericordia, perdón y gozo.

Oración: Dios de la vida, gracias por tu presencia en medio nuestro, por enseñarnos que volver a ti en comunidad, es la mejor forma de amar, servir, hacer por nuestro hermano. Gracias Señor por la oportunidad de vivir en familia nuestra fe. Amén.
