TO BE SEEN BY GOD

Matthew 6:1-6

“Be careful that you don’t practice your religion in front of people to draw their attention. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.”

Matthew 6:1 (CEB)

Today’s text gives us valuable lessons about our actions and how they should be guided by humility and discretion. Jesus exhorts us not to do good works to be visible to those around us, but for God. This message is vital in our day-to-day life and makes it very clear that Christians do not look for recognition, but act with love and sincerity.

Jesus gives an invitation to his disciples, and this is updated in us in our daily life, whether at work, school, home or in the community. We should live like Jesus, in an authentic and significant way, working together in harmony, promoting a culture of love and genuine service. Following the path that these words of Jesus show us, we can be change agents, transforming our lives and those of the people around us.

Prayer: Lord, give us the strength to live in faith, seeking to please you and not those around us. Help us to be better than we were yesterday. Amen.

SER VISTO POR DIOS

Mateo 6:1-6

Guardaos de hacer vuestra justicia delante de los hombres, para ser visto de ellos, de otra manera no tendréis recompensa de vuestro Padre que está en los cielos.

El texto de hoy nos da valiosas lecciones sobre nuestras acciones y cómo deben ser guiadas por la humildad y la discreción. Jesús nos exhorta a no hacer obras de bien para ser vistos por quienes nos rodean, sino por Dios. Este mensaje es vital en nuestro día a día y deja en claro que el cristiano no busca reconocimiento, sino actuar con amor y sinceridad.

Jesús hace la invitación a sus discípulos, y esta se reactualiza en nosotros, para la vida cotidiana, sea en el trabajo, la escuela, el hogar o la comunidad. Debemos vivir como Jesús, de manera auténtica y significativa, trabajando juntos en armonía, promoviendo una cultura de amor y servicio genuino. Siguiendo el rumbo que nos marcan estas palabras de Jesús, podemos ser agentes de cambio, transformando nuestras vidas y la de las personas que nos rodean. 

Oración: Señor, danos valentía para vivir en fe, buscando agradarte a ti y no a quiénes nos rodean. Ayúdanos a ser mejor que lo que éramos ayer. Amén.
