DAYS OF MIRACLES

Mateo 13: 54-58

He came to his hometown and began to teach the people in their synagogue, so that they were astounded and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom and these deeds of power?

When we have God in our lives, we can express gestures of blessing with our bodies: our greeting, a word of encouragement shared, a big hug, telling someone that we really like being with them. When this happens, our reality doesn’t become different–in fact, quite the opposite–it becomes unified in one feeling, one purpose: to do something good, something special.

Today people need many of these miracles, those which bring joy to life. Jesus was a stranger among his own people, who questioned him seeking to know who he was. With his gestures of love Jesus put forth a simple life, but no matter how simple they were, people were not used to receiving them. Dare today to show your family, your neighbors, and those around you--through gestures of love–that miracles begin the moment we place God at the center of our daily reality.

Prayer: Thank you, good God for the miracles you allow in my life. Amen.

DIOS DE MILAGROS

Mateo 13: 54-58

“…y llegó a su propia tierra, donde comenzó a enseñar en la sinagoga del lugar. La gente, admirada, le decía: ¿Dónde aprendió éste todo lo que sabe? ¿Cómo puede hacer esos milagros?”

Cuando tenemos a Dios en nuestras vidas, podemos expresar con nuestro cuerpo gestos de bendición. Nuestro saludo, una palabra de aliento compartida, un abrazo fuerte, decirle a una persona que apreciamos mucho su compañía. Cuando esto sucede, nuestra realidad no deja de ser diferente, todo lo contrario, se unifica en un mismo sentir, en un mismo propósito, hacer algo bueno, especial.

Hoy las personas necesitan mucho de estos milagros, de los que alegran la vida. Jesús fue extraño entre su propia gente, se cuestionaban, buscando saber quién era. Con sus gestos de amor Jesús propuso una vida simple, más por muy sencillos que fuesen, la gente no estaba acostumbrada a recibirlos. Atrévete hoy y con gestos de amor muéstrale a tu familia, a tus vecinos, a quienes te rodean que los milagros surgen desde el momento que ponemos a Dios como centro de nuestra realidad diaria.

Oración: Gracias buen Dios por los milagros que permites en mi vida. Amén
