JESUS IS THE BREAD OF LIFE

Matthew 14: 13-21

Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven, and blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.

In these times of political crisis, feeding our families has become a serious problem, owing to shortage, the inflation of goods, egotism, the hoarding by those possessing better economic conditions, forgetting those who need more. In relating to today’s passage, we must ask ourselves, how Jesus was able to convert five loaves of bread and two fish into enough food to feed such a hungry multitude. Brothers and sisters, Jesus knew how to work in that place one of the greatest miracles in history. Just as Jesus offered physical food to the multitude, so also he gives both corporal and spiritual food to each and every one of us because He is the bread of life and whoever comes to him will never hunger. Jesus feeds those who come to him in faith. He loves us and never abandons us. Let us trust in his love and promises.

Prayer: Lord, you are life for our lives. Sustain us and show us how to sustain those around us. Amen.

JESÚS ES EL PAN DE VIDA

Mateo 14: 13-21

“Tomando los cinco panes y los dos peces y levantando los ojos al cielo, bendijo y partió y dió los panes a los discípulos y los discípulos a la multitud”

Mt 14. 19

En estos tiempos de policrisis, alimentar nuestras familias se ha convertido en un grave problema, debido a la escasez, la inflación de los precios, egoísmo, acaparamiento de los que poseen mejores condiciones económicas olvidando a quienes más necesitan.En relación al pasaje de hoy podemos preguntarnos ¿Cómo Jesús pudo convertir cinco panes y dos peces en abundante comida para alimentar a toda aquella multitud hambrienta? Hermanas y hermanos Jesús supo hacer en aquel lugar uno de los milagros más grandes de su historia.Así como Jesús ofreció alimento físico a la multitud, así también da alimento corporal y espiritual a cada una y cada uno de nosotros, porque Él es el pan de vida y quien viene a Él nunca tendrá hambre. Jesús da de comer a quienes van a Él con fe. Él nos ama y nunca nos desampara. Confiemos en su amor y sus promesas.

Oración. Señor tú eres vida para nuestras vidas. Sostennos y muéstranos como sostener a quienes nos rodean. Amén.
