WHERE IS YOUR HEART?

Luke 12:32-48

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Luke 12:34 (NIV)

If we are asked about our greatest treasures, a list of events, memories, and people who mean a lot to our lives will surely come to mind. Others will think of possessions they have accumulated, for which they have worked and sacrificed time and energy. Others won’t even feel they have treasures to protect, as if life itself weren’t a unique treasure. We need to identify what the true treasures are, those that are eternal, lasting, and do good to the heart.

Treasuring goods, possessions, riches, and material things may give us peace of mind and save us from worry, but treasuring friendships, good feelings, gratitude, kindness, hugs, and gestures of love restore our lives, enrich them, and make them full. Where do you keep your greatest treasures? Where is your heart today? What is truly important to you today? Let us remember that it is the Father’s will to give us the Kingdom. It is our responsibility, then, to choose well “the treasures” that will move our hearts to action and fill our lives with true emotions and feelings.

Prayer: Lord, may my heart always be with you, and may my treasures be those that enrich my spirit and give meaning to my life. Amen.

¿DÓNDE ESTÁ TU CORAZÓN?

Lucas 12:32-48

“Porque donde esté su tesoro, allí estará también su corazón”

Lucas 12:34

Si nos preguntan sobre nuestros mayores tesoros, seguro nos viene a la mente una lista de hechos, recuerdos, personas que significan mucho para nuestras vidas, otras personas pensarán en posesiones que han acumulado, por las cuales han trabajado y sacrificado tiempos y energías, otras ni siquiera sentirán que tiene tesoros que proteger, como si la vida misma no fuera un tesoro único. Necesitamos identificar cuales son los verdaderos tesoros, esos que son eternos, perdurables y le hacen bien al corazón.

Atesorar bienes, posesiones, riquezas, cosas materiales, puede que nos de tranquilidad y nos evite preocupaciones, pero atesorar amistades, buenos sentimientos, gratitud, bondad, abrazos, gestos de amor, nos repara la vida, la enriquece y la hace plena ¿Dónde guardas tus mayores tesoros? ¿Dónde está tu corazón hoy? ¿Qué es lo verdaderamente importante para ti hoy? Recordemos que es voluntad del Padre, darnos el Reino, es responsabilidad nuestra entonces, escoger bien “los tesoros”, que moverán nuestros corazones a obrar y llenar nuestra vida de emociones y sentimientos verdaderos.

Oración: Señor, permite que mi corazón siempre esté junto a ti y que mis tesoros sean aquellos  que enriquezcan mi espíritu y den sentido a mi vida.  Amen.
