STRENGTHENING OUR FAITH

Luke 18:35- 43

Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight! Your faith has healed you.”

Luke 18:42 (CEB)

The Biblical text that we will reflect on today narrates the story of a blind man who, having heard that Jesus was passing by, asked him to heal him. Even though the others asked him to be quiet, he continued crying out, asking for healing.  Jesus saw the insistence of the blind man, and he stopped and said, “Receive it, your faith has saved you.” 

This is an emotional moment, and worthy of imitation by each one of us. Only hearing the name of Jesus the Nazarene, this man believed in Him and his power to heal without knowing if it was certain or not.  He simply believed. 

In these difficult times that we are living today Jesus the Nazarene asks us: “Do you still believe in me?”

Even though these times are hard and we cannot see the light on the path, let us not lose faith.  Let us trust in Jesus–He guides us, he takes us by the hand and says: “Don’t be afraid–I will be with you from now until the end of the world.” Let us trust in Him and our faith will be stronger.  Only believe in Him and you will be saved.

Prayer:  Lord, strengthen my faith every day of my life, now and always.  Amen.

FORTALECIENDO NUESTRA FE

Lucas 18- 35- 43

Jesús le dijo... Recíbela que tú fe te ha salvado.

Lucas 18: 42

El texto bíblico que reflexionaremos hoy nos narra la historia de un hombre ciego que al escuchar que Jesús era el que pasaba por ahí le pidió que lo sanara, mientras los demás pedían que se callase, pero él siguió clamando para que lo sanara, Jesús al ver la insistencia del ciego se detuvo, y le dijo, recíbela, tú fe te ha salvado.

Momento emocionante y digno de imitar por cada uno de nosotros.  Este hombre que tan sólo escuchar el nombre Jesús nazareno creyó en Él y en su poder de sanar sin saber si era cierto o no simplemente creyó.

En estos momentos difíciles que vivimos hoy Jesús Nazareno nos pregunta.

¿Aún crees en mí?

Aunque los tiempos sean duros y no veamos la luz en el camino . No perdamos la fe confiemos en Jesús Él nos guía, nos toma de la mano y nos dice, no tengas miedo que estaré con ustedes desde ahora hasta el fin del mundo.

Confiemos en Él y nuestra fe será más fuerte.  Solamente cree en Él y serás salvo.

Oración:  Señor fortalece mi fe todos los días de mi vida ahora y siempre. Amén
