THE QUESTION ABOUT THE RESURRECTION

Luke 20: 27- 40

They can no longer die, because they are like angels, and are God’s children since they share in the Resurrection.

Luke 20:36  (CEB)

Faith and Christian hope are supported by this amazing event. This victory over death definitively changed the understanding of life and death.

The firstborn among many siblings, which is what we are through Baptism, was raised from the tomb where he lay dead. We too will wake up from the sleep of death to a glorious life like that of Jesus Christ.  This is our hope.

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation, the clearest proof that He is the Life, the  life that was revealed to be stronger than death. The Resurrection reminds us that love always prevails over hate; that the truth always wins against the lie; that the selfless dedication and service to others outlives all selfishness; that goodness and a clear conscience ultimately triumph over those who extort others. 

Prayer:   Lord, may we be carriers of your message of hope and the greatness of your glory.  Amen.

LA PREGUNTA SOBRE LA RESURRECCIÓN

Lucas 20: 27- 40

…ya no pueden morir, pues son iguales a los ángeles, y son hijos de Dios al ser hijos de  la Resurrección.

Lucas 20:36 

Sobre este suceso asombroso se apoya la fe y la esperanza cristiana. Esta victoria sobre

la muerte cambia definitivamente el sentido de la vida y de la muerte.

El Primogénito de muchos hermanos, eso somos nosotros por el Bautismo, se ha levantado de la tumba donde yacía muerto. También nosotros despertaremos del sueño de la muerte a una vida gloriosa como la de Jesucristo. Esta es nuestra esperanza.

La Resurrección de Jesucristo es el fundamento, la prueba más clara de que Él es la Vida, una vida que se reveló más fuerte que la muerte. Ella nos recuerda que el amor siempre puede más que el odio; que la verdad vence siempre a la mentira; que la entrega y el servicio desinteresado a los demás sobreviven a todos los egoísmos; que el bien y la buena conciencia triunfa al final sobre los que extorsionan a los demás.

Oración:   Señor, que seamos portadores del mensaje de esperanza y la grandeza de tu gloria. Amén.
