GOD’S WORKERS

Matthew 9:32-38

The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;

The multitude who followed Jesus was huge. As he taught and healed, more people came to him. Word of his miracles spread, and many wanted to be healed of various diseases and ailments or to  find how to satisfy the need to live fully from the true worship of God. Jesus’ journey to share the good news was long, and reaching out to more people meant that his ministry had to be supported and accompanied by those who accepted his life’s purpose and were willing to follow him. To carry out the mission given to him, proclaim his message and continue the ministry of healing, Jesus needed the understanding of those who followed him.

Today the responsibilities that we share in our communities of faith are great. We need healing, caring, and compassionate hands to continue the work. Let us be workers willing to accompany with the witness of faith and transformation that we experience through love.

Prayer: Our Lord, may my witness of faith encourage other people to follow you. May we be able to join our hands in the proclamation of your Word and in the service of those around us. Amen.

OBREROS DE DIOS

Mateo 9:32-38

“La cosecha es abundante, pero son poco los obreros”

Mt 9.37

La multitud que seguía a Jesús era numerosa. Mientras enseñaba y sanaba más personas venían a Él. Se expandían las noticias de sus milagros y muchos querían ser sanados de disímiles enfermedades y padecimientos o encontrar como satisfacer la necesidad de vivir a plenitud desde la verdadera adoración a Dios. El recorrido de Jesús era largo para compartir las buenas noticias y sumar a más personas implicaba que su ministerio tenía que ser apoyado y acompañado por quienes aceptaron su propuesta de vida y se dispusieron a seguirle. Para llevar a cabo la misión dada, proclamar su mensaje y continuar el ministerio de sanación, Jesús necesitaba la compresión de quienes le seguían.

Hoy son muchas las responsabilidades que compartimos en nuestras comunidades de fe. Necesitamos manos sanadoras, serviciales y compasivas para continuar la obra. Seamos obreros dispuestos acompañar desde el testimonio de fe y de transformación que desde el amor experimentamos.

Oración: Señor nuestro, que mi testimonio de fe anime a otras personas a seguirte y servirte. Que podamos juntar nuestras manos en la proclamación de tu Palabra y en el servicio a los demás. Amén.
