THE LORD GUIDES US ON GOOD PATHS AND TEACHES US WHAT TO SAY

Matthew 10, 16-23

For it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

Matthew 10,20 (NIV)

These are the words Jesus spoke to his disciples in a time of persecution. He warned them to be brought before the authorities to bear witness to their faith; but he assured them that they should not be nervous or worried, as God would give them the right words to defend themselves. Often, when sharing our faith or defending those we believe to be right, we face situations that make us feel insecure or afraid. However, this text tells us not to feel nervous or fearful. The Lord always acts in and through our lives in some way. He shows us the way, and his Spirit works to transform our moments of weakness into testimonies of hope. We only need to allow his grace to act.

Prayer: Lord, help us to trust in your work through us, that your Spirit will guide our actions so that at every moment we may be living witnesses of your word and your love. Amen.

EL SEÑOR NOS GUÍA POR CAMINOS DE BIEN Y NOS ENSEÑA QUE DECIR

Mateo 10, 16-23

“Porque no sois vosotros los que habláis, sino el Espíritu de vuestro Padre que habla en vosotros”

Mt 10,20

Estas son las palabras que Jesús les dice a sus discípulos en momento de persecución. Con ellas les advierte que serían llevados ante las autoridades para dar testimonio de su fe, pero les asegura que no debían estar nerviosos o preocuparse pues Dios les daría las palabras adecuadas para su defensa. Muchas veces al compartir nuestra fe o defender aquellos que creemos justo, enfrentamos situaciones que nos hacen sentir inseguridad o miedo. Sin embargo este texto nos llama a no sentirnos nerviosos, ni temerosas. Siempre, de alguna manera el Señor actúa en y a través de nuestras vidas. Él nos muestra el camino y su Espíritu obra para transformar nuestros momentos de debilidad en testimonios de esperanza. Solo necesitamos dejar que su gracia actúe.

Oración: Señor ayúdanos a confiar en tu obrar a través de nosotras y nosotros, en que tu Espíritu guiará nuestras acciones para que en cada momento podamos ser testimonios vivos de tu palabra y tu amor. Amén.
