CALLED BY NAME

John 20:1-2,11-18

Jesus said to her, “Mary”. She turned and said to him in Aramaic,“Rabbouni” (which means teacher).

Overcome by anxiety in front of the empty tomb, Mary did not recognize Jesus until He pronounced her name aloud. This personal, intimate call is what opened her eyes to the truth. In a country marked by scarcity, migration and uncertainty, many times we feel like Mary, crying at an empty tomb without clear answers and without knowing where the Lord is.

Precisely in these moments we should remember that God is not a distant entity, but a Father who knows each one of us by name and calls us with a soft voice to love, rest and purpose for each one of our lives. So, when Christ calls, his voice transforms the lament into peace and joy for our lives.

Prayer: Beloved Jesus, thank you for knowing us by name. Help us to tune our ear to hear your call in the midst of chaos. May your voice guide us, comfort us and fill us with your love, revealing to us your presence in every moment of our lives. Amen.

LLAMADOS POR NUESTRO NOMBRE

Juan 20:1-2,11-18

Jesús entonces le dijo: -¡María . Ella se volvió y le dijo en hebreo: -¡Rabuni (que quiere decir maestro)

María, sumida en la angustia ante la tumba vacía, no reconoce a Jesús hasta que Él pronuncia su nombre. Ese llamado personal, íntimo, es lo que abre sus ojos a la verdad. En un país marcado por la escasez, la migración y la incertidumbre, muchas veces nos sentimos como María, llorando junto a una tumba vacía sin respuestas claras y sin saber dónde está el Señor.

Precisamente en esos momentos debemos recordar que Dios no es una entidad distante, sino un Padre, que nos conoce a cada uno por nuestro nombre y nos llama con voz suave al amor, descanso y al propósito de cada una de nuestras vidas. Pues cuando Cristo llama, su voz transforma el lamento en paz y gozo para nuestras vidas.

Oración: Amado Jesús, gracias por conocernos por nuestro nombre. Ayúdanos a afinar nuestro oído para escuchar tu llamado en medio del caos. Que tu voz nos guíe, nos consuele y nos llene de tu amor, revelándonos tu presencia en cada momento de nuestra vida. Amén.
