WHILE WE HEAL WE DRAW CLOSER TO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN

Matthew 10,1-7

Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.

Matthew 10:1 (NIV)

Violence, conflict, despair, and injustice are some of the evil spirits present in our world. Their presence and rapid growth, as well as the lack of peace and harmony, sicken our spirituality and damage the spirit of creation. For these reasons, healing and helping those around us heal becomes the primary act to transform ourselves and the lives around us and to bring the kingdom of heaven closer to our lives. We not only need to restore our physical health and heal ourselves from bodily ailments, we also need to heal our spirituality from all the forces that lacerate us, limit us, and harm us.

Jesus previously sent the twelve; we today are sustained by the power of Christ and are sent to heal ourselves and to heal by loving, caring, serving, reconciling, and giving hope.

Prayer: Jesus, your will is health and salvation for all people. Grant your healing grace to those who are sick, hurt, and wounded. Grant healing to those who feel anguish and despair. Reconcile those who live in enmity. Give us serenity of spirit. Amen

MIENTRAS SANAMOS ACECAMOS EL REINO DE LOS CIELOS

Mateo 10,1-7

“Reunió a sus doce discípulos y les dio autoridad para expulsar a los espíritus malignos y sanar toda enfermedad y toda dolencia”

Mt. 10,1

Violencia, conflictos, desesperación e injusticia, son algunos de los espíritus malignos presentes en nuestro mundo. Su presencia y crecer apresurado, así como la falta de paz, de armonía enferman nuestras espiritualidades, dañan el espíritu de la creación.  Por estas razones, sanar y ayudar a sanar a quienes están cerca se convierte en acto primero para transformarnos y trasformar la vida a nuestro alrededor, para acercar el reino de los cielos a nuestras vidas. No solo necesitamos restaurar nuestra salud física, curarnos de las dolencias corporales, precisamos sanar nuestras espiritualidades de todas las fuerzas que nos laceran, que nos limitan, que nos dañan.

Antes Jesús envió a los doce, hoy somos nosotras, nosotros, sostenidos por el poder Cristo, las enviadas, los enviados a sanarnos y sanar: amando, cuidando, sirviendo, reconciliando y esperanzando.

Oración: Jesús tu voluntad es salud y salvación para todo el pueblo. Concede tu gracia sanadora, para quienes están enfermas, lastimados, heridas. Concede sanación a quienes sienten angustia y desesperación. Reconcilia a quienes viven con enemistad. Danos serenidad de espíritu. Amén
