THANKSGIVING

2 Timothy 1: 1-8

For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

2 Timothy 1:6 (NIV)

Many Christians testified that they initially believed in Christ because of the influence and example of their devout parents.

One does not automatically become Christian because of the faith of one’s parents. Each person must believe for him or herself and receive a new spiritual life. But although this is true, it is still God’s desire and plan that children follow the example of their believing parents. All of us who follow Jesus have received the gifts necessary to do the work to which God has called us. God will never allow us to do a work for which He has not first prepared and equipped us.

God, through the Holy Spirit, will give you a spirit of power, love, and self-control. God has done great and wonderful things with timid people when they have been filled with the Holy Spirit, with confidence and courage, to serve in the Church and to those who need us. When we feel our calling, let us move forward, knowing that we have been chosen, and He will guide and equip us to continue His work.

Prayer: God, allow us to be faithful messengers of your work and the Gospel. Amen.

ACCIÓN DE GRACIAS

2 Timoteo 1:  1-8

Por eso te recomiendo que avives el fuego del don que Dios te dio cuando te impuse las manos.

2 Timoteo 1:6

Muchos cristianos testificaban que al principio creyeron en Cristo por la influencia y el ejemplo de padres piadosos.

Uno no es cristiano automáticamente por la fe de los padres. Cada uno debe creer por sí mismo y recibir una nueva vida espiritual. Pero aunque esto sea cierto sigue siendo el deseo y el plan de Dios que los hijos sigan el ejemplo de sus padres creyentes. Todas las y los seguidores de Jesús hemos recibido los dones necesarios para hacer la obra a la cual Dios nos ha llamado. Dios nunca nos permitirá hacer una obra para la cual no nos haya antes preparado y equipado.

Dios por medio del Espirito Santo le dará un espíritu de poder, de amor y de dominio propio. Dios ha hecho cosas grandes y maravillosas con las personas tímidas, cuando estas han sido llenas del Espíritu Santo, de confianza y valor para el servir en la Iglesia, a quienes nos necesitan. Cuando sintamos nuestra vocación avancemos, que hemos sido escogidos; y Él nos orientará y equipará para seguir su obra.

Oración: Dios permite que seamos fieles enviados de tu obra y evangelio. Amén.
