The Gospel that Heals and Frees

Matthew 4:23-25

Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and curing every disease and every sickness among the people.

Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and curing every disease and every sickness among the people. His renown grew and many from different regions began to follow him, attracted by his word and his power to heal.

This passage reminds us that the gospel is not only an intellectual message, but also a reality that entirely transforms life. Jesus announces the Reign of God and confirms it with signs of healing and freedom. His ministry is integrative touches the mind, the heart, and the body.

As the Church, we are called to reflect this same mission. It’s not enough to pronounce words; we must accompany them with concrete gestures of compassion and service. The gospel that we preach must be visible in our manner of loving, of caring for the sick, of walking with those who suffer, and  announcing hope.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord, Jesus, that your gospel delivers life and healing. May our lives reflect your compassion and your transforming power. Amen.

El Evangelio que Sana y Libera

Mateo 4,23-25

Y recorrió Jesús toda Galilea, enseñando en las sinagogas de ellos, y predicando el evangelio del reino, y sanando toda enfermedad y toda dolencia en el pueblo.

Jesús recorría toda Galilea enseñando en las sinagogas, proclamando el evangelio del Reino y sanando toda enfermedad y dolencia en el pueblo. Su fama se extendió y multitudes de diferentes regiones lo seguían, atraídas por su palabra y por su poder sanador.

Este pasaje nos recuerda que el evangelio no es sólo un mensaje para el intelecto, sino una realidad que transforma la vida entera. Jesús anuncia el Reino de Dios y lo confirma con señales de sanidad y liberación. Su ministerio es integral: toca la mente, el corazón y el cuerpo.

Como iglesia, estamos llamados a reflejar esa misma misión. No basta con proclamar palabras; debemos acompañarlas con gestos concretos de compasión y servicio. El evangelio que predicamos debe ser visible en nuestra manera de amar, de cuidar a los enfermos, de acompañar a los que sufren y de anunciar esperanza.

Oración: Señor Jesús, gracias porque tu evangelio trae vida y sanidad. Que nuestras vidas reflejen tu compasión y tu poder transformador. Amén.
