HERE I AM, SEND ME

Mark 3:13-19

And he appointed twelve to be with him and to be sent out to preach and to have authority to cast out demons.

Mark 3:14-15 (NRSV)

Today’s passage recounts the moment when Jesus chooses his twelve apostles, a significant act that lays the foundation for his ministry and the spread of the message of the Kingdom of God.

By going up a mountain and calling those he wanted, Jesus demonstrates his authority and his intention to form a close-knit group to accompany him on his mission. This passage highlights the importance of community and leadership in faith, as well as the responsibility that comes with following Christ. The choice of the apostles also invites us to reflect on our own calling and how we can be instruments of transformation in our communities, in our country, and in the world.

Have we accepted to follow Jesus? If so, we have the possibility of being called to be part of his team.

Have we accepted his call? Then we must carry out the mission entrusted to us, for we have already been empowered by Christ to fulfill it.

Prayer: Lord, we thank you for calling us to be your force for love. Give us the courage to be your instruments in transforming our environment by building the Kingdom of God. Amen.

HEME AQUI, ENVÍAME A MI

Marcos 3:13-19

...para que estuviesen con él y para enviarlos a predicar y que tuviesen autoridad para sanar enfermedades y para echar fuera demonios.

Marcos 3:14-15

En el pasaje de hoy se narra el momento en que Jesús elige a sus doce apóstoles, un acto significativo que establece las bases de su ministerio y la expansión del mensaje del Reino de Dios.

Al subir a una montaña y llamar a quienes Él quería, Jesús demuestra su autoridad y su intención de formar un grupo cercano que lo acompañara en su misión. Este pasaje resalta la importancia de la comunidad y el liderazgo en la fe, así como la responsabilidad que conlleva seguir a Cristo. La elección de los apóstoles también nos invita a reflexionar sobre nuestro propio llamado y cómo podemos ser instrumentos de transformación en nuestras comunidades, en nuestro país, en el mundo.

¿Hemos aceptado seguir a Jesús?, pues tenemos la posibilidad de ser llamados a formar parte de su equipo.

¿Hemos aceptado su llamado?, pues debemos realizar la misión encomendada, ya hemos sido empoderados por Cristo para cumplirla.

Oración: Señor, te damos gracias porque nos haz llamado a tu Ejercito de Amor, dános el valor de ser instrumentos tuyos para transformar nuestro entorno contruyendo el Reino de Dios. Amén.
