LET US BE HUMBLE SERVANTS

Mark 3:7-12

Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you

Psalm 55:22a (NRSV)

This passage highlights Jesus’ compassion for the sick and oppressed, who follow him from various regions, attracted by his healing power. The crowd, composed mostly of marginalized, rejected, and “unclean” people, symbolizes the universality of Jesus’ message, which transcends borders and traditions.

Furthermore, it is mentioned that the unclean spirits recognize Jesus as the Son of God, which underscores his divine authority. However, Jesus commands them not to reveal this, suggesting an intention to maintain control over his identity and mission.

This passage invites us to reflect on the true nature of Christ: his Divinity, and to evaluate our actions as followers or disciples of Jesus in accepting all those who approach us or to whom we can bring the message of LOVE, showing them that the Kingdom of God is here. In this way, we demonstrate the relationship between faith, healing, and the recognition of the Son of God, as well as the importance of humility in the search for the divine.

Prayer: Lord, allow us to be bearers of your message of Love. Increase our faith and humility so that we may fulfill our mission. Amen.

SEAMOS HUMILDES SERVIDORES

Marcos 3:7-12

Encomienda al Señor  tus afanes, y él te sostendrá

Salmo 55:22a

Este pasaje destaca la compasión de Jesús hacia los enfermos y oprimidos, quienes lo siguen de diversas regiones, atraídos por su poder sanador. La multitud compuesta por personas en su mayoría marginadas, rechazadas, declaradas “impuros”, simboliza la universalidad del mensaje de Jesús, que trasciende fronteras y tradiciones.

Además, se menciona que los espíritus inmundos reconocen a Jesús como el Hijo de Dios, lo que subraya su autoridad divina. Sin embargo, Jesús les ordena que no lo revelen, lo que sugiere una intención de mantener un control sobre su identidad y misión.

Este pasaje nos invita a reflexionar acerca de la verdadera naturaleza de Cristo: su Divinidad, y evaluar nuestro actuar como seguidores o discípulos de Jesús en la aceptación de todas aquellas personas que se acercan a nosotros o a las que podemos llevarles el mensaje de AMOR, mostrándoles que el Reino de Dios está aquí. Así demostramos la relación entre la fe, la sanación y el reconocimiento del Hijo de Dios; y la importancia de la humildad en la búsqueda de lo divino.

Oración: Señor, permítenos ser portadores de tu mensaje de Amor, auméntanos la fe y la humildad para cumplir con nuestra misión. Amén.
